Trick on Mainframe PDS

ehot MainframeThese days I am working mainframes also, people who all are working in mainframe will know about the PDS properties, if we press ‘I’ against a pds it will show the date of creation, file size and who created (member id).  But with a small trick we can change these member ID which will be stored along with the PDS created, yes you can change those details.

In command area against the member name of that pds or ps give ‘G’ a dialogue box will open (pop up) which allows you to change the ID values.

For people who need share their work and give update to his/her PM/PL as a single hand edited file, this trick will be useful.
